I have HP AIO Machine which has this Mobo - http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01635715

Currently running Intel P8600 can I upgrade this machine to any Quad Core mentioned below in comparision.

Comparision of Intel Core 2 Duo and Quad shows No Difference -

I understand I might have to whitelist CPU in Bios which is not a problem, my only problem is electrical / mechanical challenges I might face.

Thanks in advance for your help pros.

It seems to refer to the 45W power issue I referred to above. More than that I can't help you with.

You may want to peruse http://cpu-world.com and see if you can glean any more information. They are pretty exhaustive in having all knowledge of all processors ever made. :)
Based on the specifications fro mHP, it would indeed seem that any PGA478 Processr in the Penryn series would work.

You might have to investigate if your cooler is sufficient to handle the additional heat of a 45W chip (my guess is that is would be) and you'd also have to make sure you can properly reinstall the cooler (with thermal paste or thermal pads - depending on the original method - for it to function.

Investigate the HP site to check for BIOS dependencies and upgrade the BIOS if needed.

Also you may have to make sure Windows afterwards will know to use the 4 cores. I remember there is a way to tell Windows, but I've forgotten the method right now. I'm also not inclined to Google it. :)

Good luck.
