Socket temps reaching high with fx 8320e

Ok, so I am overclocking my fx 8320e. I have it sitting at 4.4ghz with 1.32v under load. My cpu never gets above 52c but my socket is heating up to 78c at times. I was under the impression the socket temps shouldn't go above 70c. I have a fan blowing directly on the VRM heatsink and I have a hyper 212 evo in push/pull.

My question is, what is ok temps for the socket?

specs
cpu - fx 8320e @4.4ghz
mobo - asrock 970m pro3
ram - hyper x fury 16gb 1600mhz
psu - evga 850b2
ssd - samsung 850 evo 120gb
cpu cooler - hyper 212 evo

any insight would be appreciated. Thanks

Your overclocking has put you in the area where the board is running hot. Most 970 boards do that.

I read that. I have installed a fan blowing down directly on the VRM. Cooling that shouldn't be the problem.
