Socket type for motherboard

I was just going to buy a quick temporary CPU before I upgrade my PC properly and I was wondering if an AMD X4 Athlon 860K would fit in the Gigabyte F2A78M-HD2 motherboard, on the motherboard it says the socket type is FM2/FM2+ but I know that there's a difference between the two sockets, thanks!

The X4 Athlon 860K will physically fit in the F2A78M-HD2, and is supported with BIOS version F2: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-F2A78M-HD2-rev-30#support-cpu
