I just wanted to pointed out that above article is about Socket G2 ( rPGA 988B Socket for which are FCPGA988 socket processors compatible. FCPGA988 socket processors are actually rPGA 988B processors, in other words, FCPGA988 socket processors fits in rPGA 988B motherboard).

Sorry but two people have discuss about issue which processors are compatible with Socket G2 motherboard so I read this tread because one friend of mine has Socket G2 and I couldn't reply to that so I figured out I could post this if guy is lucky he would have no doubt

Still doesn't explain why you started this thread.

This forum is to help people with a specific CPU problem as it arises, not to throw something in at random that just might help an unknown somebody who happens to come across it.

User had had problem, invest to buy i7 cpu which will fit simply trying to know ahead which one is compatible, which are not with his mainboard. As far as I know he had compatibility issue question.
