Soda on GPU

Today, (of all days) I spilled Carbonated Energy Drink through the top vent of my case, onto my gpu, it was a small amount, but the moment it happened my screen went black. I quickly unplugged my PC and took out the GPU and cleaned it off with a micro-fiber cloth and isopropyl alcohol 91% I'm assuming that the GPU is dead, which I'm not too concerned about, but I removed the GPU and tried to boot the system after cleaning everything off, and the power button only works on and off.

I'll press it 3 or 4 times and it'll turn on, when I try again, it won't power on until I unplug and replug the system.

My specs :
CPU : Athlon X4 750k
GPU : r7 260x 1gb
RAM : Crucial Ballistics Sport 8GB
MOBO : msi a55m-e35

Did any get on the motherboard? If so, you're out of luck.

This really sounds like motherboard damage. Make sure the mobo is completely dry.

As of typing this I'm on the PC. I removed the GPU and put in an AMD APU and it is functioning fine, I cleaned everything off a second time and I'm gonna see how it holds up, I'll keep you informed.

I cleaned the gpu with more Isopropyl alcohol and let it dry, it is now functioning fine, so is the motherboard. Thanks for your answers.
