I am trying to load OS leopard 10.5.5 on to G5 mac from a disk I just bought. It is original but not new.
My G5 is Power Pc 1.8Ghz with 2 gig memory and has orignal OS 10.3.9.
After the installer window, thw language selection window comes on. After selecting the language installer checks the installer check the system and a message comes on screen that Os can not be installed on this machine.

One I have noticed on the Disk that says:

Macbook Pro
Mac OS X
10.5.5

System requirements meets the conditions as mentioned in the Manual.

Your help will be appreciated.

Solution
This is not a retail version of Mac OSX 10.5 but a disk that actually came with another computer, namely a Macbook Pro. You will not be able to install from that disk. You should purchase a retail upgrade, and get your money back for the disk for the macbook pro.

Solution
He can not run snow leopard npower86, he doesn't have the "horse power", he's using a G5 which fails the intel processor test. He can run OSx 10.5 or Leopard, because it is built for both PPC and intel processors (which also is the reason leopard is larger than snow leopard).
