Software deployment change source

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.win2000.group_policy (More info?)

I am trying to figure out how to change the source of a software
package deployed with group policies.
In Software Deployment/Computer Configuration/Software
Settings/Software Installation I would like to edit the entries so as
to change the source of the package.
The reason is that we want to move to packages to another server (part
of serverconsolidation).

AFAIK, you cannot change the source of the package.
