Hello,

I had a MS Word document which I accidentaly removed as it was in the directory of some software which I had to uninstall. That Word document was on a C drive. Disk was SSD. Whats more I installed that software again later on.
I would like that recovery data software to be free or I can pay for it max 30$
I already tried Disk drill - completely no effect. Easeus is heavily advertised and they say it is free for 30 days but as I read on reddit that software doesnt do its job and in fact its not free.

Please help me!

As USAFRet says recuva is your best free option , i have not used it for a long time , i dont have it on the pc i am using at the moment but one thing i do remember is that when it finds things they sometimes have strange names so in the case of the word files that it may find , the one your looking for might have a proper name or a bunch of random letters.

This mean that you might have to open all the word files it finds , as i say its a long time since i used it so things might look different now.

It was a week ago.

Really?
Yes, really. SSD's do not work like spinning disks. When you delete something on a spinning disk it simply gets marked as deleted and the data will sit around until it is eventually overwritten. With an SSD the mark happens and the next time garbage collection runs (sometimes within seconds) the cells containing what was once the deleted file are wiped and made ready to use again. This garbage collection runs any time the drive is powered up. This is why we preach backups here. If you had a backup you wouldn't be in this jackpot now.

I installed Recuva - but it completely found nothing what I want. I also searched for my file by its content - again with no effect. Nevertheless it occured that Recuva can find some other files on SSD drive even if they were deleted half year ago.

Thanks for your help!
