Hi. Have a JetDirect EX Plus3 print server but no software. HP's site
has none listed for the Mac. I can print to my connected HP 4ML but not
my Brother 1440 (non postscript) and was hoping the software might
resolve this. Any ideas? Thanks, Dan

Communicating with the printer should be separate from the printer
driver. So if the HP can communicate via the printer server, so should
the Brother.

Have a look at <http://solutions.brother.com/hl1400/download/nu-guide.html>.
Brother seem to have some decent documentation on network printing,
maybe not for your specific model but it might apply.

To print to a non-PS printer needs a different driver, again Brother's
site seems to have these.

Hey Alan,

Thanks for the link - I can't find anything that seems to help for my
particular model (1440). A test page does printout from the server is
the Brother is connected to port 1, but the Mac isn't able to correspond
with the Brother. Neither am I able to access the server via the
default web IP address. Any ideas?

I'm tapped out; I can only suggest you try some Mac-centric forums or newsgroups.

Understood - thanks for everything prior.
