I'm having some problems with my CPU throttling so i'm looking for a program that will track both my CPU temps and clock rate and plot them over time. That way I can see if things are improving as i'm tweaking my system.

So far I have tried speedfan, but that can only plot temperature and I would like to see how the clock rate is fluctuating as well.

Freeware is preferable, but I wouldn't mind paying ~$10 if it's a useful program.

I'm now using Open Hardware Monitor (free)... it has a simple graph history (quite nice) and same UI with HWmonitor
other than that I'm using hwmonitor from cpu-id

Btw. if your cpu throttling the sensor will not help much, u need to fix the problem (push down the temperature) for complete solution

Dust cleaning, better cooler, reinstall TIM, better Air Flow (more fans), etc...
I'd personally prefer HWmonitor - http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

Simple and Easy to use.

i change the CPU load from power options and even change power plans .I love "Balanced"

Perfect, that plotting feature was exactly what I was looking for!

I know that a sensor itself will not help with the throttling it's just nice to have so that when you tweak something you can see how it has affected the problem. For example, after I change my power settings I can see if the temps are any lower or if I need to reduce the power to the processor even more.

Any particular tips for dealing with throttling would be great though. So far I've just cut back the power settings so it won't run as hot and throttle even lower. It is a laptop so it's somewhat limited what I can do (Samsung Series 7 Chronos NP700Z5C-S01US).

My laptop is Samsung and i use Real Temp , while playing games , just to alarm when the temperature threshold is reached . if i d like to see the history i turn on the log file . Real Temp is small and doesnt affect the speed of gameplay.
