This camera was designed for Win 98, hence the software is not compatible
with WinXP Home. I can get images (not very good ones) in Messenger but I
was wondering if there is standalone software that will run this camera
enabling me to have video calls between two broadband connections? Or is it
easier to just buy a new one?

Thank you Noel for your suggestion. I decided to buy a Logitech QuickCam Pro
4000. Extremely pleased with it.

Hi Peter

Did you have any replies or luck with this? I am having similar
problems. We have aquired the Philips PCA646VC webcam and software but
the software only seems compatable with Windows 98' - we have 2000.
I have searched around: Philips website is useless and it seems a few
people have mentioned simialr probelms in forums.
Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Ben
