I'm in the process of cloning my HDD to a new SSD. Should I keep the data on my old HDD for a while in case something goes wrong with my new SSD?

I eventually plan on using my old HDD as a 2nd storage device since my SSD is only 500GB while my old HDD is 1TB.

Much more details needed.

A clone process, done correctly and successful, is the entirety of the original drive.
You need to keep nothing from it. Maybe keep it for a couple of days before a full reformat of that old drive.

But...details, please.
