software project time line

Hi. I was wondering if any of you used a time line software for project managment? I need time lines spanning over a year with markers along at some months and days. Any ideas?

Free ones pref. I remeber that MS had one called memory map.

Yep. Every project I have worked on use Project.

Well what I want is a simple one off project. I have had a play around with word. Amazing what I can acheve with the pens and ruler.

Then why not use the proper tool for the job instead of trying to make a square peg fit a round hole?

Exactly. Do you use other Office products? Why is Project a "dirty word"? It is a capital expense and is deductible against any profits from this software project.
