Software side of installing new components?

Later this month (probably about the end of the year), I'm going to be installing a new PSU and GPU (and maybe a new CPU). It'll be my first time upgrading components and I'm confident about doing the hardware work, I'm not sure what has to be done software wise afterwards. Can anyone give tips or help of any kind?

(Please don't say something like 'if you don't know, don't do it' because then I won't learn how to, and I really want to learn how to do this. I'm confident I can install the new hardware but I want to make sure I know what I may have to do software wise afterwards)

1. use DDU to uninstall all old graphics drivers.
2. shut down system
3. remove/install CPU, GPU and PSU. if you are reusing the cooler use alcohol and coffee filters/lint free material to clean off the old TIM
4. boot system
5. install driver for new GPU

it should be just that easy there will be no software for the CPU and PSU so the GPU driver is the entirety of the software side.

Thanks for your help. I'm guessing DDU is a program, could you provide a link?

No worries! We all didn't know at some point. I know we could all do searches and figure it out eventually but sometimes it is best to consult people who have already done it and are willing to share that knowledge. This is the best forum I have found for that!

I'll add to this. The point of this forum is to help people exactly in your shoes. I don't think you'd ever get a response like that. Teaching and helping makes us all better.

Was looking up how to tell and found this: http://thebottlenecker.com/
It doesn't seem to have your exact processor and GPU but I looked up an A8-5600K (stronger than A6) and a GTX 580 weaker than 1050ti) and the CPU would bottleneck so I would say definitely the A6 will bottleneck.
