[SOLVED] Software that lets you screen record the last X minutes?

If you own a PS4, you know it has a built in feature that is always continuously recording the last 15 minutes of gameplay. It doesn't actually save until you decide to capture the moment that had passed.

I was wondering if there was something like this for OSX?

On strict OSX, I'm not 100% sure.

AMD and nVidia both have options (Shadowplay and.... something elsE), but not sure if there's fullscale availability with macOS.
If you're gaming......chances are you're either running Windows inside BootCamp*....or you might want to give it consideration.....unless your titles are well supported/optimized for macOS.

*If you are, Windows10 "GameDVR" inside the XBox app can do it too.

One screen capture app for the Mac is "Screen Capture Tool". There are two versions available "Lite" and "Pro". I have used it to capture and create how-to videos on a MacBook Pro.
