Hello,

I am looking for a very specific software to monitor the temperature and % usage of all the 4 cores or my CPU and my GPU, visible in an overlay in-game.

I found it on a video, the game itself is Lineage II, a single threaded application. Yet the player was having 50% usage on all his 4 cores. That's the whole point of my question.
I want to test it out with this very specific software he is using.

See the video below:

I'm thinking this is typical of a single threaded game like this one. You are experiencing normal behaviour. The reason for your most used core going higher then that dude's in teh first video is that he probably has a more powerfull CPU.
Trust me, there is nothing you can do in such a scenario except upgrade your CPU. Btw, whats your config?
Thank you for your answer, I downloaded and tried it.

No it can't be an in-game option, I know this game it doesn't have such fancy features, it was released in 2003 then updated ever since till 2011 maybe.
It was built around the Unreal Engine 2 (UE2).

Here's a screenshot of my CPU usage when running only the game:
http://s33.postimg.org/c2p0qi3fh/Untitled2.jpg

CPU1: 94%
CPU2: 42%
CPU3: 22%
CPU4: 12%

Once I closed the game:

CPU1: 15%
CPU2: 7%
CPU3: 25%
CPU4: 15%

So, it seems only the CPU1 and CPU2 are affected by the game.
CPU1 is maxed
CPU2 +30% usage
CPU3 unaffected
CPU4 unaffected

Knowing it is a single threaded application (I read it over and over these past years, I have no clue how to actually check it),
is there any way to allocate this game to all my cores and flatten it out to roughly 40% usage on all the 4 cores ?

The reason behind is when there are many players casting spells, doing stuff, the FPS lowers drastically even to high end rigs.

Hehe. Don;t we all wish that were possible :)
Unfortunately, if the developers, didn't code it like that theres nothing you can do.

Actually its teh same usage pattern as in your case. One core almost maxed, a second getting some work and the last two almost idling.
are you having framerate issues or what is this about?
