SOLD [CAN] open box at NCIX Acer Predator X34

All 5 in NCIX Ontario warehouse sold today including the open box unit that was at the Mayfield location, Richmond BC.

I'm a little torn, I did get NCIX to price match Software City C$1577.xx yesterday and just now this open box showed up. At C$127X.xx.

I typically support open-box products, unless people physically touch them when they use them. Monitors, keyboards, mice, or cases I prefer to avoid, as you have no clue as to what happened to that product. This is purely a personal preference, but for something over $1000, I'd not risk whatever may have happened to save 25%, it's worth the premium to me.

$350 (more with tax) is a pretty big savings considering:
a) most of the warranty is likely still applicable (it's a 3-year warranty, though I don't know the specifics)

b) It has most likely been inspected.

I'm going to stay with my original purchase but if hadn't ordered I would probably have rolled the dice and bought the open box X34. When you read the ad for an X34 it says no price matches and in fact if you try to use price match it simply does not allow it. I called, the agent at ncix did the price match and was quite helpful. I did not study the warranties very close at all, I do see that one has 30 days to decide though. I did not purchase the zero dead pixel insurance.
