Is that list really all that accurate? I know for a fact that Rosewill power supplies are some of the best power supplies on the market for the price. I've had a couple of Raidmax power supplies that worked just fine too.

Also this power supply has a 4 star rating on Newegg.com

^ Completely incorrect. The higher efficiency Rosewill ( 80 Plus Gold and Platinum ) units made by Super Flower are good to excellent. In some cases every bit as good as the Seasonic X series.

Raidmax on the other hand uses Andyson as their OEM......That alone makes me want to avoid them. That being said the unit you have for sale passed HardOCP testing....barely. Note that the design was tested in February 2011. If tested today it would do much worse as the competition has done nothing but improve. Also note the unit only has a 1 year warranty.

Raidmax certainly does not make some of the best power supplies on the market in any way shape or form no matter what the price.

Edit: Ah just saw you said Rosewill not Raidmax. The tier 5 Rosewill units are their older Value series, Stallion series and Performance series and a few other 'budget' lines made by ATNG and Solytech mostly. The newer Super Flower and Sirtec made units are very good. In fact if you look at the whole list SR 71 Blackbird posted part of, you will see those units rated higher. What you won't find are any Raidmax units rated higher 🙁

Warranty was expanded to 2 years at some point since 2011 still I would avoid any of the power supplies on SR-71's post.
The power supply is the most critical part of any build and most often the first place people look to when trying to budget.
The guys here want to help everyone have a safe and enjoyable build.

Well I understand that Raidmax may not be anywhere near the best power supply maker but the RX-1000 AE seems to get good reviews on multiple sites.

4 Stars on Newegg
4 Stars on Amazon
It passes the tests on HARDOCP.com

HARDOCP.com states that this power supply is OEM from Raidcom which is a different OEM than usual for Raidmax (sigma is what they usually use)

And they even say "HardOCP’s testing methodology is intended to very much push power supplies to their advertised wattage rating in temperatures that will represent some of the hottest computer enthusiast cases. So if a unit passes all our testing it is definitely not something to take lightly. In fact we expect more power supplies to fail our testing than make it through unscathed."

So I honestly think that this power supply is an exception from Raidmax and will work just fine. But since everyone is so weary I will drop the price to $100 shipping included.

You completely misunderstood that. Raidcom is a parent company. Andyson is the OEM and made the unit.

Nonetheless the power supply gets good reviews and passed a vigorous stress test so I believe that it is good to sell. People don't write good reviews on bad products so that means that this power supply is fine, and if it passed the stress tests then it is reliable. May not be ass efficient as advertised but is still a decent buy at $100 including shipping.

I'm pretty sure if the op wants to offer this for sale here he can. I don't understand why of all of you are even wasting you time posting on this. @$100 its a decent psu... I wouldn't try to get 1000 watts out of it. But if you were running 500-750 I don't think there will be a major issue.

Exactly! Thank you! Yes it may say 1000 watts but that doesn't mean you have to use all 1000. That would be a tripple sli/crossfire rig. And if you have the money for that then yes by all means get a top of the line power supply. This is just for someone that wants a decent PSU for a single or dual card rig.
