Solder mini PCI-E slot into Packard Bell Dot SE-110uk

Hello,

I have said netbook with one slot occupied for mini PCI-E. There is no second slot but there is the tracks for one. If I solder on on will it be a full mPCI-e slot or not?

probably not, if they saved a few cents by not putting int he connector I doubt they bothered installing the supporting circuitry.

Thanks for the reply. I have seen that people have done this on other netbooks but sometimes the slot needed a capacitor added in or a couple of points bridged. Is there a way i could tell by looking at the board and knowing the motherboard chipset? For example could I work back from the tracks to see if there are other components missing?

Nothing wrong with looking and seeing if you can identify/locate any missing components.
The one already wired might use the identical traces and relative component locations
