Question Solid Orange Light on B450-i ?

Feb 18, 2013
I am having issues with my B450-I. I attempted to replace my 2700x to a 5800x as I had updated my BIOS to 4602, however upon attempting to turn the PC back on, I encountered a solid orange light. Nothing was spinning, nothing was posting on screen. So, I took the 5800x back out and put the 2700x back in, and I'm encountering the same issue ?

There is seemingly no differences in hardware before vs now but it is seemingly bricked. Any suggestions?

It's worth mentioning when I was pulling the CPU fan up for the first time, the 2800x was fused so it sort of pulled from the socket prematurely. It didn't seems like there was any discernable damage, but I can only assume that might have compromised the socket in some way ?

ASUS ROG Strix B450-I
Ryzen 7 2700x
Corsair 16gb Vengeance
EVGA 2080ti Black
Samsung Evo 860 1tb NVMe
EVGA G3 750 W 80+ Gold

Things I've tried:
  • Taking the GPU out
  • Trying a single stick of RAM in each slot
  • Taking RAM out completely
  • Unplugging and re-plugging everything back in
  • Removing SATA drives
