it's the ambient light from the mobo.

Lighting that was added to the motherboard. You can change the color, or turn it off, using MSI's software for RGB.

He may also have a power led just showing board has power. Many new boards don't have those anymore, and especially lights that stay on in standby as glass cases just make it stand out when PC not on.

My money is that it's the solid amber light next to the Ethernet port which identifies the network speed.
