Let me be brief, I have a 64 GB SSD that I want to install windows on, faster boots, you understand. Problem is, it only works 'sometimes'. Sometimes my motherboard and windows don't even detect it, sometimes my motherboard and windows do. This leaves me in a very frustrating position.
Do I bite the buck and buy a new SSD? Or, do I make every attempt to proliferate this one?
I've tried the following measures
-Swapping SATA cables.
-formatting and re installing windows (This only worked once, because the 2nd time I tried to install it, it simply was not detected.)
-Taking the drive in and out and swapping PSU connector cables.
This is very frustrating, and I am currently fiddling with partitions of the solid state drive to ensure that I can attempt a working fix, but I doubt it will work.
If anybody could assist me, I'd be much obliged.
A bit more information? I'm using an MSI Z97 Gaming 5 Motherboard.
