I wonder how much (if any) performance loss there is in running this Gen3x4 instead of Gen4x4?

Regardless, this model (in 2280) is one of the best DRAMless QLC NVMe drives.
(Still, performance tanks once pSLC Cache is exhausted and/or drive is mostly full)

Generally you get the exact same performance on Random IO, but miss out on the top end sequential, so basically will feel just as fast as gen 3 speeds still go to 3 GBps. They are pretty efficient drives too, I am running a 670p 2 tb I grabbed for around $70 which is basically the prior generation to the P41 plus. I would not hesitate to pick one up.
