This is to all Gigabyte motherboard users out there! Many are facing weird D4 error code on their motherboard. This according to motherboard manual is due to PCI resources allocation error. But in most cases we hardly use that many pci lanes. Typically we populate pcie16 with graphic card, and 1 nvme ssd or 2 nvme (rare 192.168.0.1 ly). This should not cause pci resources insufficiency error.

Solution: This is caused by c routerlogin onflict in power state. Go into windows power management >what power button does section> disable fast boot> save.
That should in most cases solve D4 error issue.

if Disabling fast startup fixes it, it really means the problem is drivers.
If you use a hdd as boot drive, turning fast startup off will slow you down. So its really just a bandaid

It seems odd that drivers would fix an error code on Bios?

try updating chipset drivers if changing what windows does at shutdown fixes it.
