Laptop: Acer Aspire VN7-591G-70RT
Router: NETGEAR WRN2000v5 (problem persists at multiple locations)
Laptop Network Card: Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4 Wireless Network Adapter
Network Card Driver Version: 12.0.0.278 (8/23/2016)
OS: Windows 10
My ISP at home is Accessmedia3, but the problem also occurs with the school wifi and Verizon Fios.
Error Message: Trying to connect to any wifi network displays "Can't connect to this network".

I was thinking it was a hardware issue, but the laptop has no issue connecting to my iPhone via wifi hotspot.

I have checked the IPv4 connectivity, I reset my winsock, and I tried to renew my IP, but was greeted with an error stating that "No operation can be performed on Wi-Fi while it has its media disconnected. This error appears three times, and the other two times are about Local Area Connection and Ethernet.

Does anyone have experience with this issue and know how to resolve it?

Solution
Hey! While fiddling I discovered a solution!
I simply logged out of my account, and connected to the wifi there, and it worked and fixed the issue.
This may require having another account on the laptop, and being on the sign on page there, though I'm not sure.
Hope this helps someone!
