(SOLVED) BSOD multiple error codes Win 8.1 and Win 10

Built a new computer all new components, except for SSD and HDD. I've almost but exhausted my ability to figure out what is causing these BSOD. Virus and Malware programs are inactive or not installed.

Mother Board: ASRock Z170 Extreme4
CPU: i5 6600K 3.5GHz
Memory: 16 GB
Vid Card: MSI Geforce GTX 970 Gaming 4GB
PSU: 650w Corsair
OS: Windows 8.1 ( same errors on WIn10)

BSOD guaranteed to occur after playing about 40 minutes of CSGO, other times on boot after BSOD occurs.


-Swapped out Vid Card,
-ran memtest 86 with no errors (4 passes),
-swapped SSD,
-also tried 4 version of drivers for vid card, 2 driver versions of ethernet card.
-Did 2 fresh installs of win8.1 and 1 fresh install for win 10
-Ran various GPU tests
-CPU temps max 47 (at time of crash)
- moved ram to different slots and alternated ram (still produces BSOD)


BSODS - Memory_Management , system_service exception (win32k.sys) ,Page Fault in nonpaged area, PFN list corrupt, Kernal data inpage error, Faulty Hardware COrrupted page, there are more

I will be running a CPU stress test over night.

The main prob will be the hdd. You're getting 0x00000024 stop errors which can mean it's corrupt or its failing

You may have to replace the hdd

I would also uninstall ASRock App Charger it's a known cause of crashes

Thanks for replying paul, I have had BSOD with the ASRock App Charger not installed. However i uninstalled it and wont reinstall it.

As for the HDD i ran without it hooked up and used a completely seperate SSD and still experienced BSOD (this SSD was a bit older)

Anymore help would be appreciated

So which one was installed when you posted the dmp files? The one you unplugged or the separate one?

Whatever it was what is it? The brand/model

1) Test without the video card (use the iGPU).

You should also update the Intel drivers: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/

I'm not sure how long it takes for errors, so maybe find a game like Torchlight if it will take a while (a game that your iGPU can handle okay).

2) BIOS:
Latest is v2.90
*There are Skylake issues which require BIOS updates. I think the "microcode" update for v2.90 is supposed to fix these issues. These CAN cause the issues you describe.

(the "remove overclock" applies to non-overclockable CPU's, not yours)

Other:
I got similar issues on my i7-3770K setup once I updated to Windows 10. Often daily freezing. I never did find the problem and it just went away about two weeks ago.

I suspect it was a video driver issue though (NVidia GTX680) and was either fixed by a Windows or driver update.

the dumps are from SSD (OS) and HDD (music, video files)

ssd = ADATA SX900
HDD = Seagate Barracuda model: ST 1000DM003 (storage drive)

also ran computer on OZtechnology agility 3 series AGT3-25SAT3-60G (also experienced BSOD)

Click on new firmware check. If there are any firmware updates, I would update it. Some seagates have buggy firmware

But if you get the ISO, burn it then make sure the seagate is the only hdd connected, when you boot from the bootable cd

I would also go to whatever site and see if there are any firmware updates for those SSD's

Bios i think did the trick. played for 2 hours straight no issues so far.

FYI: i also replaced the PSU, i got to run the computer for an hour before i replaced the PSU and i had no issues as well
