Here it is:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/vbEn

Already have a 1920x1080 monitor I'll use for it.

I'm looking to stay around the $700 mark, possibly going up to $720 if you guys have any advice for me. All advice is appreciated! Thanks!

P.S. My priority is on gaming. I'd hope to be able to run most games at a playable FPS on at least medium, preferably high or ultra settings.

I know you are probably going to get a lot of responses saying stick with Intel. I feel that if your priority is gamine, go with a good budget AMD build and put the extra into the GPU. This will be your primary concern for gaming. It's a bit over $720 but worth it.

Multitasking is something I'm interested in. While my main focus will be gaming, I may also be doing some video and/or photo editing. So would my original build be better if that was taken into account?

And there goes the graphics card. AMD is the only way to go here to give the OP what he wants unless you are going to sucker him down into the low end i5 or upper i3s and please look at the benches from the guru3D link for your multitasking concerns.

Sadly, your case does not have USB 3.0, and having an intel makes the computer more upgradeable, and concerning the graphics he could crossfire the 7770. And I did check the benchmarks, they might be about the same, but my last sentence explains it.

There will be a much better experience with a single card, less power consumption, and 2GB of vRAM. The OP is still limited to 1GB of vRAM with CF. What is the difference in upgrade ability with AMD and Intel. As soon as they change sockets, you're back to buying a CPU and motherboard. Either way both CPUs can be upgraded.

After looking over this a million times, I think I'm going with cball's last build. I'll probably get a case with USB 3.0, though. Thanks for all the help, guys. And you Intel people: I thought long and hard over which side to go with. You made a good argument ;)
