Hello everyone! I need your help! This is my first complete build so I have not much experience.
I can't reach post/bios screen, no signal on monitor.
My specs:
MOBO Asus Rog Strix B360-G Gaming
CPU Intel i5-9400F
GPU Nvidia GTX 1060
RAM Ballistix Tactical Tracer RGB 16 GB
PSU Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 ARGB 650W
SSD Samsung Evo 860 500 GB
What I already did:
Went to local shop for bios update. Apparently, the bios has been updated successfully there and the motherboard supports 9th gen processors now.
System was shuting down now and then maybe because of loose cables, but it did go away after checking here and there. Readjusted CPU in case it was not sitting right.
I did put everything together, fans are turning, no beep. If I remove the RAM stick, I will get 1 long 2 short beeps, so I suppose that works. Thought the GPU might be the issue, so I bought another, no luck with that. I might have fried the CPU earlier, because I was too lazy to put on the thermal paste and fan on it properly, but I might have already had the GPU plugged in with no screen, so I would like to believe that the CPU is not the issue. I removed the CMOS battery and put it back again after a while. After that, the system shut down immediately, only to restart on its own. It happens everytime when I remove the CMOS battery.
Everything is brand new and I feel like the problem lies somewhere else. The motherboard is sitting now on a cardboard box with no further results. Fans are turning, but no signal on the monitor.
I will bring the system to the local shop on monday, because I am out of ideas.
But I would of course appreciate any help to solve this issue until then.
I wish you a nice day and thanks in advance!
