UPDATE 1: I restored the router to it's factory default and still the same problem.

UPDATE 2: Looks like ourWorld is upgrading its data centers so that may be why I can't access it. And as for the bank website. I can access the rest of the site but not the secure area.

UPDATE 3: So I'm at work now, and the banking website loads fine on the network and on the WiFi both on the work PC and my phone. So it has to be something at home that's blocking it ;-;

Hi. How are you? I've been having some trouble lately. I'll start from earlier this week.

So before everything was working great, till a few days ago I turned on my PC and was greeted with a Red X by the internet access icon on taskbar. Rebooted the modem and router, didn't work. I troubleshooted it, and I got something like ""Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP configuration"

The internet didn't work on the PC, but it was fine on my phone (Wi-Fi)...

So I manually set the ip using Google DNS and this thread I found on Tom's Hardware: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3001010/ethernet-valid-configuration-windows.html

That worked but it was only a TEMPORARY fix. The next day I started up the PC and the same red X came back.

Then I did something in CMD...um it was

ipconfig/flushdns
ipconfig/release
ipconfig/renew
netsh winsock reset

and I think that may have solved it PERMANENTLY.

But now I can't visit certain websites. 2 that I know of

a little browser game I play: www.ourworld.com
and my online banking website: https://republiconline.republictt.com/

At first I thought they were down, but my friends tested it and one or the other worked for them. Never both. My friend where I live reported that ourworld didn't load but the bank site did. He has same ISP as me. And my other friend in the USA said ourworld loaded so I'm stumped.

They don't load on my phone either (Wi-Fi)!

Here are some specs:

Router: Nexxt Stealth 150
Modem: Arris WBM760
Motherboard: Gigabyte LGA 1150 Intel H81M-HD3
PSU: EVGA 500 W 80+
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit
ISP: Columbus Communications FLOW
Connection Type: Um idk lol 30Mbps (cable modem?)
Connected Devices: 2 ---The PC and phone

Also some errors: While troubleshooting the red X, it had said no valid ip, and when I validated the dns server and stuff it said the "fix" was DHCP enabled.

OH! and I changed the range for DHCP server on router setting page as well as the lease time.

And I'm using the Ethernet port on my mobo...

Any help is appreciated. I'm going to bed now though, so I hope we can get this resolved. Night~
Regards,
Jason :)

Icewolf.

Dhcp mode of your router should be enabled.
And if the router has a HW firewall set it`s security level to medium over it`s factory default setting of high.

Once done, go to windows control panel and open up windows security center again set the fire wall level if the firewall is enabled for outgoing and incoming to a medium security setting, and apply the new changes.

It should resolve all of your problems with loading set webpages from then on Icewolf.

Hi Shaun o, thanks for replying.

The time and date is automatically set and is correct.

The router does not have a HW firewall.

Will changing these things affect the WiFi too ? Because I also can't access those sites on a mobile device.
