I just had a quick question. I live in my parents basement, being the poor college kid I am, so would the natural cool air help with keeping my rig at a nice temp?

ambient temps can have a hand in your computer's temp.

as with Air and watercooling your using the temperature difference of the hot CPU / GPU vs the cooler ambient air. the cooler the air the bigger difference between the 2 is and the cooler your PC will become.

The cooler the ambient temp, the cooler your CPU will be. If you have a cool place for your PC, I would put it there.

Nice! I believe my average basement temp is around 53 degrees F give or take a few degrees depending on the day.

Nice! Consider a dehumidifier...cool is good, but cool and wet is not.
