[SOLVED] External Drive Showing as 'Unallowcated' Space.

SOLVED

So I had been attempting to clean off my external WD 1tb drive to use for an Xbox One. Wouldn't format within the console so I was trying to remedy that.

Did some uneducated googling and made a mistake and deleted the volume in Disk Management.

Now I can't use it at all or even attempt to format back to a file system.

I am using Windows 10

Help would be much appreciated.

If you deleted the partition you have to create a new one in the unallocated space (new simple volume) before you can format it.

I figured it out. And that's exactly what I did. I hadn't seen that option to do a new simple volume til I figured I'd try and right-click on a couple of areas and saw the option.
