I've searched and searched but alas I am breaking down to ask why this happens.

Modem->switch->router->pc = ~211mbps
Modem->router->switch->pc = ~90mbps

Switch - netgear GS105
Router - netgear R7000
Modem - ARRIS SURFboard SB6141 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem

So here is why this is important to me. I want to connect my smartTV (Samsung UN55D7000) to the internet via ethernet (because of wireless buffering problems) and if I connect the tv to my switch it won't connect to the internet. But if I connect it to the router, no problem for the tv. My office is upstairs and my tv is downstairs. Everything is connected via CAT6.

Obviously there is something I'm missing. I so confused why the switch won't give the gigabits
when I put it after the router. I appreciate in insight you all can give me.

***FIXED***

So IPv6 was disabled on my router. When I enabled it (it automatically detected "6to4 Tunnel" <whatever that means> as my internet connection type) and I enabled "Use DHCP Server" my switch quickly changed to gigabit connection and I got speeds of ~180mbps from speedtest.net.

Thanks for everyones suggestions. I couldn't have done it without you all!

This is my this is my exact configuration I get the light only on the hundred megabits per second

Which port(s) ??

1. 200mbps
2. speedtest.net
3. Wired

From router only 100mbps light. To computer 10/100mbps lights (1000mbps)

It sounds like something is set to 100Mbps in there.

When the modem-> router-> switch->pc setup the lan port that the switch is plugged into is amber (not a gigabit connection). When it's the other way (modem->switch->router->pc) the router recognizes the switch as a gigabit connection.
