SETUP:
Gigabyte Z270 XP SLI mobo
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 ram 8GBx2 (CMK16GX4M2A2133C13)
i5 7600k

BACKGROUND:
As I'm describing the problem, I'll be referencing DIMM slots using Gigabyte's numbering (1,3,2,4; 1 being closest to the 24-pin and 4 being closest to the CPU). I have a 64 bit version of Windows 10, so the RAM shouldn't be an OS problem - but that should be independent of POST anyway.

PROBLEM:
The mobo won't POST with 2 RAM sticks installed either in 1/2 or 3/4, per page 10 of the manual. It will POST with a single stick in #2, and I have alternated the sticks validating that both do in fact work. I have updated the BIOS to Gigabyte's latest release (F6), cleared CMOS, and enabled XPM to no avail.

Would you recommend upping the memory voltage? If so, by how much? Other than that, have I missed any steps? If nothing else can be done, do you think this is RMA-worthy or a BIOS thing that can be waited out?

Thank you in advance,
Will

Solution
I have it working now. I tried a long shot and installed the sticks in slots 4 and 2. Both are recognized by BIOS and Windows as channel A. (??)

I am a little worried about them getting warm since they're right next to each other, so I'm building a little cowling thing to direct air to them.
