Hello,

My 2 HDD Raid0 do not turn off immediately when I close Windows 10. They seem to restart for about 10 sec.
I run Windows 10 on a SSD (OS), and I have a Raid0 2 HDD for Personal Data.
When I turn off my computer, the screen turn off quickly (no signal), and busy LED also turn off. At this moment I expect my computer to stop (like it was used to do before), but it does not. Then I hear my HDD restarting, the busy LED turn on for 10sec and then the computer really stop.

Everything was ok when I was on Windows 7 and after the upgrade to Windows 10.
This new behaviour on shutdown appeared after I made a clean install of Windows 10.

When I disconnect my HDD, the shutdown of the computer is ok.

Any suggestion to solve this issue?

Thanks

Thierry

Solution
Finally found the solution.
The problem was the new automatically installed driver for Intel SATA RAID controller.
With an older version (11.5.0.1207), the problem is gone for me (motherboard P8Z68-V LE)
Problem almost fixed.

If you have the same problem, here is my almost solution:
I had the fast startup enabled in the power options (Control Panel>Power Options>Choose what the power buttons does). You may need to click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable" at the top to access this option.

I have two computers (towers, no laptop) with Windows 10 home edition, one does not have this option, but the second has. I don't know why.

Since this option is disable, my computer shutdown much faster (3 sec after the screen goes down). But I always hear my HDD restarting a little bit.
The problem is also seen when it goes on sleep mode. With Windows 7 it went in sleep mode in about 1 sec, now with Windows 10 I have to wait like 6 sec (because I hear my HDD turning on before going iddle).

I also noticed that my Raid0 HDD are seen as SSD into the Windows defrag tool.
I tried the "winsat formal" but it did not change anything.
I updated bios but HDD keep restarting for about 5sec at system shutdown.
