I have bought generic HDMI to DVI adapter to plug my console (HDMI) to monitor (DVI-D, Dual Link) and as HDMI is purely digital I expected to get DVI-D on male side, but I have DVI-I... This is simple, passive adapter, so I doubt it has some DAC mumbo jumbo inside. Thus, can I remove 4 analog pins (C1-C4) in adapter, so I can plug it to my monitor?

Edit: Apparently yes, I have removed all C1-C5 analog pins (since C5 was longer than in my monitor input), and everything works fine.
