[SOLVED] New GTX 1050 fans spinning, but no signal.

I bought a new GTX 1050 and installed it. But I get no signal when I plug an HDMI cable into the card.

The fans are spinning, so I know it's installed correctly.

When I try to use onboard graphics, the display works. Changing the main display from onboard to PCI express in the bios doesn't fix the problem.

Did I just buy a GTX 1050 that doesn't work?

hey mike everything is good youre almost there.

plug the hdmi into your motberboard so you got screen and install this http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

after that install the new nvidia drivers from the nvidia website.
if that is done you should have got screen.

It tells me I need an nvidia GPU when I try to install the drivers.

Also did you try to remove all old drivers before you install the new one?

Asrock h61m-dgs with a 430w power supply.

The card only needs 300w.

Seems the PSU is good enough. Now, did you remove the AMD drivers using software like DDU? If not try that first (using your on-board GPU) -> DDU -> then install the 1050 and test.

I removed all the AMD drivers as you suggested; I still get no signal when plugging into the GTX 1050.

Is there a way to install the GTX 1050 drivers without Geforce Experience?

Solved it guys! The problem was that one side of the graphics card wasn't all the way in. Now, the graphics card is getting detected with no problem.
