I just did a fresh build and when I turn it on, there is no display or post. The Mobo is a MSI Z87-G65. CPU is an Intel i7 4770k. PSU is a Corsair AX760i. CPU cooling is swiftech watercooling loop. GPU is an evga geforce gtx. RAM is G.Skill Sniper series, 2 sticks of 8gb ddr3. SSD is samsung pro. DVD drive is an asus $20 drive.
Everything lights up, fans spin, water pumps, but I can not get display out of VGA, HDMI, or DVI on either integrated ports or graphics card. I have tried putting 1 stick in every slot, and 2 sticks in every other slot. This model doesn't have any beeps, but the POST codes on the mobo change some times between [A2], [AD], and [AE]. Mobo manual says this means "Ready to boot event/Legacy Boot event". I have tried undoing everything, checking CPU prongs (none bent or broken), and putting back together, but it still doesn't want to post. I have an OS disk in the DVD drive to install Windows to the SSD, but I have also tried booting from the Mobo disc thinking maybe Bios has to be installed first? Either way, nothing comes up. I have tried booting with a HDD that already has an operating system installed on it, but still nothing on display. Displays work on my other computer.
Any suggestions on what I should do or check? If you need any more information about certain parts or connections please let me know. I plugged everything into the (what I think are the) correct slots based off the diagrams in the msi booklet.
Thanks for any suggestions.
EDIT: Fixed it by pluggin in front panel stuff correctly. Should I delete this thread or leave it in case someone else has the same problem?
