Ok so ive been working on this PC for the past 2 weeks with no results.

Specs:
i7 3820
Gigabyte Z77 UD3
Cosair HX750
CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo
Thermal Paste: Artic Silver
MSI 560 GTX Ti Hawk Edition
Patriot Gamer 2 Ram 16gb (4x4gb) 1600mhz

Ok so whats been happening is... Ive started building a PC, installed it all and no display/post.

So i went testing things (as much as i could) and the RAM was working fine in another PC (all sticks).

So i returned the motherboard thinking it was defective, got a new UD3, started working on this and get the same problem.

The problem is, when i have nothing but PSU, CPU and Mobo (no RAM) i get Continous Short Beeps, as soon as i put 1 Stick of RAM in, i get no beeps, its silent.

I have tried different RAM in it, Including Rip Jaws X and a Cheap Brand of RAM. Same Problem.

I Upgraded the PSU from Huntkey 650w, to a HX750, because i thought it might be a problem, No avail.

Any ideas?

Im not even bothering with GPU atm, since i cant even get it to that point.

But yes ive tried a 260 GTX, 5500 GTS (doesnt need PSU Power thats why) and my 560 GTX Hawk.

Tried 3 Diff types of PSU including a Huntkey a Cosair 650 and hx750.

I know, thats the only thing i havent replaced during this Build... and all the same problems....

BUT! in saying that...

Why would it Beep when no ram is in, But when Ram is in, it does nothing?

CPU Fan running Perfectly.

HDD Spin (when plugged in), same as Case Fans, and the DVD Drive.

I cant short it out, since its on a breadboard (unless i can short it out on Cubboard).

Yeah i tried 3 Video cards and 3 diff monitors.

And not only that shouldnt the PC Do different beeps to detect no GPU? instead of going silent when the RAM is installed.

PS: Mobo is a x79 not a z77 previously said.

Sometimes there is no beep for cpu error, depending on bios version. What is your mobo model name?
