[SOLVED] PC automatically clicking out of tabs/windowed games

Hi,

I wasn't too sure where to post my issue, seeing as I have no idea what's exactly causing it. Either way, I refurnished my room two days ago (gave my pc a new spot and using new plugs) and I bought a TL-WN822N adapter yesterday to fix my net.

I noticed last night that my pc randomly started "losing" tabs. I don't even know how to exactly describe it. Whether I'm writing in Word, browsing facebook, playing a videogame in windowed mode or even when I'm writing here my PC just like randomly "clicks on the windowsbar". Ofc the mouse doesn't move and no one's clicking (God, I really don't know how to define this) but it's giving the same result as if I were to click on the toolbar. The tab is still open, but I'm not "inside" the tab.

I have no idea whether it's my adapter, mouse, a driver or something else, but I do hope any one here could help me a little further. I'll add further information below in case it'd come in handy.

Thanks in advance,

Sander

Adapter: TL-WN822N (1 day old, driver up to date)
Mouse: Razer Naga (nearly 2 years old, driver up to date, no previous issues)
OS: Wi7 64-bit

My PC is about 2 months old and had its motherboard replaced a few weeks back.
The problem only started occuring recently (most likely yesterday) and all I did then was switch plugs and attach the wireless adapter.

Hi,

my naga is currently plugged into a usb-port. I could try plugging it into a ps/2 connector with a switch and using a USB keyboard instead. For some reason my PC has only 1 PS/2 connector.

I've also been concidering disassembling my naga and cleaning it up inside. But that'd lose me the strip on the bottom and I'm unsure if it'll fix my issue.

I'll post an update as soon as I tested the other keyboard.

I swapped keyboards and it seems to be going fine so far. No idea why the old one just randomly stopped working though. I'll update this thread if the issue returns, if it hasn't by tonight, I'll flag your reply as the solution.

Either way, thanks for the help!

I see that your problem is solved and it's great but I'm going to give you my advice anyway whenever you are unsure of what is the problem you should try to omit the options first you need to make sure if it is a software or hardware problem in your case you should first switch the hardware you think it might be faulty and as you said mouse is not moving so you should test your keyboard by switching. as you see you could solve your problem in this step.

Problem didn't occur untill I installed my adapter yesterday. I didn't think it'd be the keyboard in the first place, figured it might've been software failure or my adapter messing with my USB ports. Nonetheless, my PC only has 1 PS/2 connector and I don't have any USB-keyboards, so swapping my mouse for another one who had a PS/2 plug wasn't possible.

Problem came back two days ago, finally found a thread about "windows losing focus" after a few hours of googling.
Turns out my TP-Link Utility program running in the background was causing the issue.

Hope this helps any one else having similar problems
