I had just finished my first build and was installing windows 10 through a usb today however every single time I plug in a usb my computer just says "Please Power down and connect PCIe power cable(s)."

This only happens when a usb is in however, with mouse and keyboard I am always booted up to the default motherboard screen.

Specs:
CPU: Intel i5 8400
Motherboard: Asus prime b360 plus
Graphics Card: Asus Dual Gtx 1060 6g
Memory: G.Skill Tridentz 2 sticks of 8gb
PSU: EVGA 650w 80plus

I have checked the cables for my gpu multiple times.

I am pretty sure I do. My graphics card is a 6 pin and my PSU came with a 6+2 pin connector. The pc runs fine when there is no USB connected though.

The contents of the USB are just the items that you get when you download a boot drive from the normal windows website. I have tried to change the boot priority multiple times however I always receive the error message stated above.

Yes, it is in the top one. I have made sure it is secure and have also made sure all cables are reaching it.

I do not, however, the computer runs fine without any usb's in. I only get the problem when I either try to boot up the computer with the usb.

Boot up the system without the USB attached. Once online attach the USB. If you need the files, copy them to the HDD and format the USB. If not, just reformat the USB. If you're actually trying to boot from the USB, format it and start over using the Windows Media Creation Tool (you said it was Windows install files?).

I have tried reformatting and copying however each time I reach the bootup menu and press enter on my usb it gives me the error message.

I am so stupid. After checking all my cables again I found my pci-e cable was unplugged. I don't know why the issue only appeared when I tried to boot up but after plugging it back in the problem was solved. Sorry for any inconveniencies my mistake caused!
