solved problem with Gateway NV53 - screen black, fan runs then stops, won't boot up.

First of all, if you are having one or all of the problems listed, there's no need to worry. Your laptop is ok. The solution is to run an iso image file. As soon as you insert the the disk or a USB flash, the laptop boots right up. Enjoy!

Thanks for your info but fuller instructions required - - many less experienced people won't even know what an ISO image is, or where to get it from.
