I have a SanDisk Cruzer 16GB USB Flash Drive which is not recognized by my HP dv7 Laptop computer using Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit operating system. Why is this happening and how to I resolve the problem.
1. Is this USB Flash Drive recognized in some other PC.
2. Does it show in BIOS
3. Does it show in Disk Management (Right click on Computer >> Manage >> Disk Management) - if it appears in Disk Management, just assign a drive letter.

Thank you for your response. Your number three question resolved my problem by ...
Right clicking on Computer ... Manager ... Disk Management. The drive did show up but did not have a drive assignment ... the system allowed me to assign I: to the drive ... and then it was recognized by my system. Thank you so much.

I am having a problem with my sandisk Cruzer 16 MG flash drive. In response to your 3 questions:
1. It works in my little HP netbook just fine. When I try it in my Dell, the Install hardware can't find the driver.
2. Not sure about the BIOS.
3. It shows up in Systems Hardware under "Other device" Cruzer, with a big yello question mark next to it. The comment is that there is no driver.
I have looked for a driver to download for this flash drive but can't find one. Any suggestions?

I am having the same problem. It shows up under device manager with no driver assigned. It will not let me assign a driver. What should I do. I am running Windows 7.
