Specs are below. I don't have the details to when/how it started as its not mine and its a little hard to describe what happens when it freezes so bare with me.

When playing a game (Modern Warfare) (he told me it happens with other games too) it runs just fine. Temps are pretty nice and all but out of no where the game freezes.(I have 2 monitors) when I go to the other monitor (the mouse is still moving) and click on other apps it acts normal for a few clicks and then it "freezes". Now I put "freezes" because I've had 2 outcomes. 1. All programs stop responding but the mouse still moves and is that spinning blue loading symbol and I can't open/close anything. And 2. It completely freezes. Like mouse doesn't move or nothing.

Steps ive taken are
Turning off DOCP
Running windows memory checker
Checking temps
Clearing CMOS

My friend said he scanned for viruses

The SSD's have barely been taken up
My friend suspects its the psu and I'm not good with voltage or anything so thats why I'm reaching out here. I dont know what to put on here as far as stuff from HWMonitor.

(Im sorry if some stuff is hard to understand Im like really bad at explaining stuff)

Solution
try this step by step (read until end):
try this step by step (read until end):
  • Disconnect from internet
  • Uninstall gpu driver DDU (no safe mode needed, clean and do not restart).
  • Perform NVFlash your gpu bios
    Tutorial:
    View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8maQUEbalQ

    Bios File: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/209314/gigabyte-rtx2080ti-11264-190218

After that exit the cmd (do not restart yet), and proceed the next step below

  • Uninstall all the processors on device manager (should be 12 on yours, also when it asks for restart, click on no) like this:
    unknown.png

  • Uninstall AMD Chipset Driver in Control Panel (skip if there is none)

  • Restart the pc to bios, and update to the latest bios. Then go to bios again after update and load default or optimized settings.

  • boot up to windows and install the latest AMD Chipset driver, reboot, go to power plan and choose amd ryzen balanced, and connect to internet.

  • Install the latest nvidia driver.

*do this all offline until reboot after installing chipset driver, also you may reboot to bios after all of this to set the XMP (and previous settings you did) and make sure ram is on slot 2 and 4 if you use 2 sticks. Download needed files (highlighted word) before doing step 1, do the step by orders.

  • And check windows update (and optional updates) if there is any and install them (except chipset in optional update). Also enable Hardware Accelerated Graphics Scheduling (available on the latest win 10 update) in graphics settings like this and reboot:

Make sure the psu connected to the gpu is 1 pcie cable per 1 slot (use main cable, not the branches/split) like this:

did you downloaded the nvflash yet? did you know the path? extract the zip first and find the nvflash cmd directory, for example the directory is on C:\Users\yourusernameDownloads\nvflash\x64 for example, then do cd \Users\yourusernameDownloads\nvflash\x64 (where ever the nvflash cmd/bat/exe is located at)
Thank you for all of you help and quick replies and I found my error in the whole nvflash thing. I am 5 games in wkthout crashing where before i could barely finish 1. Again thank you
