I have this weird device in manager Other Devices - NF l2C Slave Device that no program can find drivers for.

install audio drivers from mainboard manufacturers for your soudcard, usualy named realtek

Uninstall that driver booster program. Those can cause more issues than they fix. In my experience, probably what has happened is that since hdmi and DisplayPort can carry sound, that your computer may be attempting to use the gpu for it’s sound. The fix is open control panel, go to sound, then under playback, right click on Realtek and select set as default. If that works, you can also right click on the Intel sound devices and disable them so the system doesn’t try to switch back to them.

The first thing I did was to install audio driver from realtek. @kerberos_20
@ohio_buckeye I think you are onto something, on the sound options the system sees my monitor as my sound device, I plugged the headphones into the monitor and it does indeed have sound, it would've been great if it had a microphone slot also. However I can't get it to work on the motherboard, the only device in sounds is the monitor.

Glad the other method worked. I actually work as a tech and typically you can make the changes needed there. But I haven’t worked with the new Intel gpus yet. How do you like the a770 so far? They were talking like they had a driver recently that really improved some things.

It's not even a day (24h) since I have it so I can't really give much feedback on it. I upgraded from RX 580 4gb I didn't get to play much in Payday2 I have around 20%-30% more FPS (120-150) with maxed out settings (including Anti Alias and Ambient Occolusion), on the 580 I had medium/low with AA off, in a Plague Tale Requiem it's 3x more fps from 30 to 90+. The GPU is very cool temperature wise it does not go over 60 Celsius with 35%~fan speed, it does have a little bit of coil whine. I have the 8gb variant from Asrock with 3x fans. As far as software goes it's flawless so far, didn't see any problems with it, the performance optimizer and assistant is online (opens in browser) which is a really nice thing, atleast for me.
I only saw reviews with the driver updates but it increased performance and optimization a lot in games, which is expected as drivers mature.
