Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs.

I get the error in the post title I put in the AMD FX 8350 and MSI 970 Gaming motherboard. I saw this on TechSource's $1000 PC built but when putting it into PCPartPicker get that issue!

Don't worry about that, years ago this may have been an issue but unless you buy a board thats been sitting on the shelf for YEARS it will have no problem with the 8350.

Ignore it, the 970 gaming supports the 8350 out of the box on a first revision bios.

Saying that its honestly not the board I'd recommend nowadays , there have been numerous issues the last few months with this board & I think MSI quality control has taken a nose dive as of late.
