For the longest time, I've had this issue where certain icons on my desktop will move on their own when I move ANY other desktop icon. The icons in question are in the bottom right and left of the primary screen. I've taken screenshots of before and after moving an icon on the desktop.

The only way I can get ANY icon back in those now-blank spaces is to use a program called IconRestorer that I found many, many years ago when this problem first started happening. Of course, the problem that I'm having now is that I want to arrange my icons differently than the icons backup that IconRestorer has in memory. I'm at a loss as to what would cause this.

Any advice is appreciated.

Kind regards,

Jim.

Seems I've answered my own question. Even though I have tried this numerous times before, right-clicking a blank space on the desktop, clicking view, and then toggling 'arrange icons to grid' has fixed this issue (for now). Let's hope it stays fixed...
