I have a problem that involves my Netgear wndr3700 wireless router. Suddenly all wireless devices (3 iphones, printer, 2 laptops) that were connected to it at about 6 PM yesterday no longer see our home wifi --they DO see other wifi networks. The strange thing is that my husband's devices (phone and laptop) that were not home at the time, still connect to our wifi with no problems.
--I noticed a device in the Admin console that I did not recognize that also connected. Based on the MAC address it was a device with vendor Arcadyn, which I am not familiar with
--I have reset the router to factory settings that device is now gone, but our devices still don't see the wifi any longer
My only thought is that a virus/worm came in through one of the iphones (not jailbroken) or laptops and breached the wireless router for the devices that were connected at the time. Is that possible?
So the bottomline is the router works fine for devices that were not connected to it at the time of the incident. Any thoughts/advice? Would replacing the router resolve this?
Thanks!
