I have around 5 games that I play and all of them perform and run great. However 2 of the games, Ark Survival and Rust, seem to be extremely blurry and pixelated. I have all the latest drivers, directx, and nothing is wrong with my hardware since it performs like it should. I already refunded Ark, but having the same issue with rust I see this is a problem on my end. Please help. (I built this computer myself and cooling isn’t an issue.)

Specs:
-Msi Rtx 2080
- Intel i7 8700k
-Trident Gskill 32gb (2x16) 3200 ram
-EVGA 600 watt PSU
-Samsung 970 1Tb (Which I ran tests and is performing worse than it should, 17th percentile using userbenchmark)
-ASUS z390 motherboard
-1920x1080 Asus 24’ monitor
-Windows 10

Games That Run and look fine:
-Arma 3
-Company of Heroes 2
-CSGO

this sounds like to me display scaling. in your desktop resolution settings, you might have scaling set to something higher than 100%.

if this is the case, one of two things will fix this...

A.) set the scaling to 100%.

B.) find the game executable, right click and go to properties. go to compatibility tab and Change high DPI settings. set it to Application.

This is a possible cause..

"Much like the original poster, I was switching from a 24" monitor to a 32". For convenience, I re-used the single-link DVI cable already connected to my computer. But as it turns out, single-link DVI cables support resolutions only up to 1920x1200@60Hz. Whereas dual-link DVI cables support resolutions up to 2560×1600@60Hz. So in my case, it was a hardware problem and swapping out the cable with the correct type was the fix. Cables are easy to overlook".

I am using a hdmi cable that can support up to 4K, so I don’t think that is the problem either. And this pixelated ness isn’t the case for 3 of the games I play, but it is for the other 2 games.
