some good, short modules?

Can anyone recommend the names of a few short modules that would be good for
testing out new characters? Possibly some with replay value? I always play a
mage, so I've decided to give something else a try, and the ranger sounds
like it might be fun, but I don't want to start a whole new long game with
one without knowing a little about how they work.

Thanks.

If you look around on nwvault.ign.com, there are a couple of modules to
facilitate levelling up and equipping a character. There's "The Halls of
Advanced Training," by Great Inca and "Novice to Epic Character Maker,"
by DawnWalker -- actually, there are a couple of variants of both of
those -- both of which include areas to test a character in combat with
enemies appropriate to your character's level.

There are a couple of demo modules by Bioware, "To Heir is Human" and
"The Winds of Eremor," which are very short adventures in which your
character will quickly be in a hack-and-slash scenario. Those would work
reasonably to test characters in combat in a more "natural" scenario
than the character building modules I mentioned above.

Thanks, I'll check those out.
