Hi,

I just built a new pc and now I'm having a bit of an issue with one of the drives now showing up in my computer's Devices and drives.

It currently has three drives installed:
- new 500GB SSD (one that used to fresh install Windows 10)
- new 2TB SSHD (for the purpose of storing files, etc)
- old 1TB HDD (from my old computer, which still has all the files & Windows 7 installed in it)

SSD and old HDD shows up fine in the computer, but the SSHD is not being displayed for some reason, although it's showing up in the BIOS' boot order options.

What steps do I need to go through to make the drive show up?
Thanks.

Hi there skipia,

Is the drive recognized by Disk Management? In case it is, you can follow Barty1884's suggestion. Initialize -> partition and format the drive. Keep in mind that this is a data destructive process.

If the drive is not recognized by Disk Management, I would advise you to attach the drive with different cables to another SATA port. Also, it may be a good idea to update your MOBO's drivers.

Let me know how this goes,

Open disk management (right click the windows start icon in w10 and it's in the list there) do the missing drives show up?

If so, do they show "not initialized"? Right click and initialize.

They may just need to have a drive letter assigned. Same idea, right click & "assign drive letter"
